Privacy notice
Last updated 2 November 2026
This notice explains what personal information I collect through this website, why, and what your rights are. I keep it short because I collect very little.
Who I am
Sten's Lens is run by me, Sten Ritterfeld, a videographer based in Wimbledon, London. I'm responsible for your information. You can reach me at sten@stenslens.com or +44 (0)73 5550 3030.
What I collect
When you send an enquiry through the form, I receive what you type in: your names, email address, wedding date, venue, the package you're interested in, and, if you give them, your phone number and message. If you email or call me directly, I receive whatever you choose to share that way.
I don't run analytics or advertising trackers on this site, and the site itself doesn't set any cookies.
Why I use it
Only to reply to your enquiry and, if you go ahead, to plan and deliver your wedding film. The legal basis is that you've asked me to take these steps before we enter a contract, and then the contract itself. I never sell your details or use them for marketing you haven't asked for.
Who else is involved
- Cloudflare hosts this website, runs the spam check on the enquiry form, and delivers the form to my inbox as an email. The spam check is used only to tell real people from bots.
- My email provider stores the enquiry once it arrives in my inbox.
- YouTube (Google) plays the films on this page. The film thumbnails are loaded from YouTube's image servers, but the video player itself only loads when you press play. From then on, YouTube's own privacy policy applies and it may store information on your device.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on the legal safeguards UK data protection law requires.
How long I keep it
If your enquiry doesn't lead to a booking, I delete it within 12 months. If you book, I keep your details for as long as I need to deliver your film, and then for up to 6 years for my tax and accounting records.
Your rights
You can ask me for a copy of the information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. You can also object to how I use it. Just email me and I'll respond within a month.
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. I'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
